Sticky Stuff!

The mood of my blog has been so solemn lately. I apologize.

But here's something to make you laugh and think. It's an awesome song by Flight of the Conchords :) My favorite part, of course, is when they go.. "The sticky stuff." Heheheheee! Makes me laugh aaaall the time. I don't even know why.



Went for a show today. They sang an awesome rendition of this song. Laughed till i almost pee-ed in my pants! =P

It's so soothing to watch people perform live. And it's so much fun too! :)

Definitely the prefect stress relief. Yay!

My Dreams of Becoming A Hobo, Let's Strike That.

As many of you know, i've always wanted to become a hobo in NYC. I kid you not. And you know it! :P

Weeeell, I take it back! And let's pray that it never happens to ANYONE!

I was forced to spend a night in the city with no where to go when it was negative 2 degrees!

Let me fill you in with details..

Ok. It started off with me editing at school, knowing that my call time the next day was at 6.45am.. at Grand Central Station because i had to catch a train upstate.

I wanted to leave at 10pm! I promise. But editing got to addicting! I was in the groove~ Hehehe

Soooo.. edit edit edit.. and before i knew it.. it's 2.30AM!!!!

The things that went through my mind:

• "WHAT??!"
• "I feel like curtsying."
  
• "Should i go home??" (Mind you, I live 1 hour away from school but with public transportation at that hour, I would have ended up reaching home in 2 hours AND on top of that, I would have to wait for the bus for about an hour in waaay too little clothes for negative 2 degrees windy weather.)
• "I have too little footage."
  
• "Should i just sleep in the school till 6am?"
• "Need sleep."
• "My film does not make ANY sense! Gahh!"
  
• "Need food."
• "Mom sent me an email on how to lose fats. I should be worried."
• "Monkeys. Bananas. Cupcakes."
• "Let's do a funny dance!"

So ANYWAY.. My friend was in the edit lab as well and we decided to get food. Went outside. Wind blew. Forget it. I'm not going anywhere tonight.

Friend said, "It's too dangerous to not go home now. I'll stay with you till you go to Grand Central!"

Nice friend. Yay! :) :) :)

So we slept on the couch in the couch in the school. The couch was NOT soft.

BUT.. at 5am.. Mike from the edit lab woke us up and was like.. "What are you guys still doing here?! I have to lock up. You have to go."

Something along those lines. I was too sleepy to coomprehend.

So okay.. We walked out into the blistering cold and got to the subway station and friend and i got on the train to go to Grand Central. 1 hr and 45 mins to call time. Great.

So when we got to Grand Central, we decided to sleep on the floor. So we did.

At 5.35am.. a cop woke us up and..

Cop: You guys catching a train?
Us: Yes
Cop: What time?
Us: 7.18am

Then cop walks away. We go back to sleep.

At 5.45 am.. same cop wakes us up..

Cop: People are coming in. You can't sleep here. Get up!

So we woke up. And friend said, "Rachel. I have to go home."

Not wanting to destroy our friendship, I walked friend to train station and said bye and goodnight and thank you and fluffy dreams and all that jazz.

Then, I went back to the center of Grand Central and went back to sleep. Cop walks by a few times, look at the hobo-rific me, shakes head and walks away.

Summary of things that happened next:

• Got a phone call from asha saying that she was gonna be late. Got frustrated. Snap snap. "Hurry please!" Was a little rude. SORRY ASHA!! :(
• Got wandering crew members together.
• Mune says something ridiculous. YELL something no one would ever comprehend. People stopped and stared. VERY EXTREMELY SORRY MUNE!! :( :(
• Tim made joke. I was not amused. Sorry Tim.

And all that happened waay before 7.30am! Wheee!!

Also wanna say that i didn't sleep the night before either. It was about 60 hours of being awake before i went to sleep. Not pleasant. Not pleasant at all.

So that's it! My adventures in New York! Isn't it fun?

a BuBbLy MonDaY

It was just another monday morning where we could only eat lunch at 2 pm. But somehow, something was different that day. We were hungry beyond belief! Alexa and I were practically crawling on the floor of the main block just so that we could get to our food. Our minds just weren't working right. We didn't know what we were saying or doing!

Alexa : Bloof bloof. plak plak?

Rachel : Pook pook. Pizza hut. Yum yum!

Alexa : Kak kak. nah nah. boo! mama's kitchen. yum yum!

Rachel : pooh pooh. grrr grrr. Food food. Now now! >.<

So, mama's kitchen it was. There weren't much food left. So, we practically scooped everything thet was left. Both our mixed rice costed us RM 8.50 each! See how hungry we were?!

After that, we went back to the main block to do the most joyous thing 3 very sad people can do on a monday afternoon. We played with bubbles!! (no. it's not a name of a butterfly. or a powerpuff girl.)

a very very long one

The day we dreaded through out the whole semester finally arrived. The day of our en102 presentation. >.<

The night of our presentation, we were totally not prepared. We didn't finish our slides until it was 2 in the morning! And we couldn't download this video we needed for our presentation! SpiCy ALexa kept saying that she was going to vomit! And I was so hungry I had to chug down muesli and yoghurt! yuck! -_-

.

But it all went well.. Alexa vomitted in the morning.. we could stream the video in the morning (thank the good lord!).. and we finished up our presentation without vomitting, passing out, or crying! Isn't that something to celebrate about? ^_^

After that, we were so sleepy that when alexa was driving, she almost killed sara, TWICE!

Today..

SweeT Sara and I went to give SpiCy ALexa a surprise.. But i guess we weren't very good surprise-givers coz i parked my car right outside her house and she saw us! >.<

But nevertheless.. we did surprise her and she was sort-of surprised.. hehe.. her mom was great! she was planning with us.. and she said, "you don't have to do so many things for alexa! she doesn't deserve it!".. we totally agreed but i guess we're just too nice! =P

After that, we went to kim gary with Alina, Wei Li and Susan. Susan ordered an thick toast and it had no taste. So we asked for peanut butter and they literally gave us.. peanut. and butter. I'm not kidding! Look!

I know this is a bit late.. But it's hereeee!! (a post.. well a quarter of a post.. hehe.. dedicated to you!!) =D

Thanks for being a really really great buddy whom i can do all sorts of crazy stuff with! Thanks for not being ashamed of me *ahem ahem* unlike some people! Thanks for being willing to sit on the floor with me, for running around the auditorium with me, for pranking people with the lights with me, for staying up late (although you really really cannot!) doing assignments with me, for creating the BEST dance in the WORLD with me!! I heart youuuuu!! *hugz*

Through the advancement of science and technology, two young and upcoming scientists, dr. sara sweet and dr. rachel cool-sour, have invented a science specimen which they named the JUN881124. However, due to certain mishaps that took place in the laboratory, the science specimen contracted a few hazardous diseases. The main disease, which is a big concern to us all is called the "poser-ism". It is a rare and dangerous disease which the two scientists are very concern about. Here is proof.

Not only that, dr. sara sweet and dr. rachel cool-sour are also very concern about another disease that the JUN881124 contracted. It is called "shy-titis". People with this disease goes around telling people that they are shy when they are actually not shy at all. It causes much confusion to good and innocent people who actually believe them. It is dangerous. Very dangerous.

The biggest concern of the two scientist would be the "ms. ling-titis". This disease is slowly sweeping over our nation. Be afraid. Be very afraid. People with this disease won't stop saying, "don't hahahaha" and "oooooooooooooouk?".

In short, this science specimen was a failure. We have lost track of it and it is now roaming the streets of Klang Valley, freely. The JUN881124 is very dangerous and if you see it anywhere please call 1-800-Jun-Alert!. Or, if necessary, shoot down immediately!

It was a hot and sunny day, Sweet Sara, Sour Rachel, and Spicy Alexa were looking for the perfect place to get some rest. They were all hot and sweaty, panting and dejected, when...

Sweet Sara : Hmmm.. I wonder if this is a good place to rest..

Sour Rachel : OHMIGOSH! It's.. it's.. Lorong Gelenggang!!

Sweet Sara & Spicy Alexa : It's Lorong Gelenggang! OH my goodness! It's Lorong Gelenggang!

Spicy Alexa : Oh Lorong Gelenggang~ I never thought I would meet you!!

Sour Rachel : It really really is Lorong Gelenggang! Whee! I'm so happy!

Sweet Sara : Are you sure? Looks can be deceiving you know?

Sweet Sara : Could this be true? Could it really really be Lorong Gelenggang? I'm still quite skeptical..

Sour Rachel : OK. Let's see if it's the real one! Arghh!!!

Spicy Alexa & Sweet Sara : No No!! Don't do it Sour Rachel!! It's the true Lorong Gelenggang! Really..

After they enjoyed their rest at Lorong Gelenggang, Sweet Sara, Spicy Alexa & Sour Rachel (also known as the Triple S), decided to proceed to secret recipe to satisfy their hunger.

Sweet, Sour, Spicy : We're really really hungry! The food is taking too long to come!

Sweet, Sour, Spicy : Hmmm... what shall we do while we wait?

Sweet, Sour, Spicy : I know!

Sweet, Sour, Spicy : Sleep!

After way too little time to sleep, the food came. *yum yum*

Sweet Sara : MmmM.. Lamb Pie!

Spicy Alexa : Yummy yum yum! vietnamese beef noodle is the best!!



Sour Rachel : Who wants some of my delicious yummy yummy BBQ chicken?

Mondays, as usual, took a rough turn on our sweet, spicy, and sour girls. Computer really isn't the best subject to take. It really isn't suited for the weak-hearted. But the Triple S girls.. they deserve a BIG round of applause. Week after week, 'hahaha' after 'hahaha', 'ooooouk?' after 'ooooouk?', they survive. But how long more can this last?

When sweet sara left early, spicy alexa and sour rachel had to keep each other company. They were bored and felt like losing all hope and joy in the world. When suddenly...

Spicy Alexa : Rachel! Look! It's the lanterns from the lantern festival!

Sour Rachel : Ohmigosh! Giant lanterns! Giant lanterns!
