A Glimpse of Me.

I wrote an entry in my Journal today. Yes. I have a Journal. I'm a nerd. It's how i communicate with God and i've been very blessed and it kinda opens my eyes to His greatness. I totally encourage everyone to do it! :)

Anyway, i re-read it and i felt that i should post up a small portion of it here. Just a small bit ;)

Dear God,

I just can’t believe how amazing you are. How humble and gracious.

“I know you love me.” It’s from a song. And it hit me, 87% of the time, I really don’t know if you love me. Of course, I understand your love but it’s all only in theory. But then again, in the little moments in life when I experience what I call “The Epiphany”, you are really magnified and wonderful and amazing.

I don’t understand you and I don’t think that I ever will. Maybe somehow, there is beauty in that. You amaze me but yet I don’t know how. You leave me to bring me home. You hurt me to cure me. You make me foolish to give me wisdom. That’s how beautiful you are.

Your love never ends and never fails. Your wisdom and your ways are beyond comprehension. I know you will move mountains for me.

I feel foolish to have ever faltered or doubted you. I feel ashamed that sometimes I don’t trust your love. And I feel sorry that each time I do these things, it breaks your heart.

You guys won't know what i'm talking about but it's like a Korean Reality TV kinda show where celebrities are like paired up and they have to pretend that they are a married couple. The show is called "We Got Married". And you get to see all the sweet things the "husbands" will do for the "wives". It's so sweeeeeeeet! Makes me feel like getting married to a stranger! Hahahaha.

Anyway, HyunJoong sang this song for HwangBo. I used to love love love this song. It was like on loop in my playlist. Hehehe. The lyrics are so extremely sweet. So.. random stranger.. hello there! If you want to marry me, you know what to do ;)

I've been blogging waaaay too much. But I found something worth blogging about today. Don't worry.. It's not nonsense like Bunnies or Smelly Socks.

I was doing research for my Thesis and I found some really cool stuff about unrequited love that i thought i should blog about. Hehe

Smelly Socks.

So.. I was really bored and stressed coz i can't think of any new ideas for my Thesis Film. So i decided to blog. Hehehe!

I was thinking about what i should blog about. Purple pigs? Orange Pandas? Pink Lions?

Then it hit me like a cannonball! I should blog about smelly socks! Absolutely brilliant.

You know.. Sometimes when there's a party and the weather is so hot and humid, the moment everyone takes off their shoes, especially when it is done simultaneously, you get that stench.

That crazy "Who farted and burped after eating Durian??!!" stench.

It's smelly socks! I tell you.. Those things can kill. You know what we need? A special spray. A spray or a gel that can get rid of the smell.

Why did God create us this way? So that the world will be a more interesting place? Hmm.. Maybe it's just so that when we have nothing to do.. we can blog about it! Awesome.

But not to worry, people with smelly feet! It's not as bad as having hairy ears coz no one can pinpoint you!! Muahahaha!! (no offense to people with hairy ears. you guys are very special. it is rare.)

So that's all i have to say.

Seven Bunnies Are Funnier Than One Bunny.

Bunnies are so cute. Don't you think?

And the best thing is.. They're funny too!

Just imagine.. A little bunny.. Looking to the right and to the left. "Bop Bop", its head goes. And then "Sniff Sniff", its tiny pink nose twitters.

And with a giant leap of faith, the bunny jumps! "Boink Boink Boink", it goes! With the wind blowing by it's long ears. Then Boop! There is a sparkle in the bunny's eyes! Its eyes are wide open in shock!

It waits.

Then it looks around. When it is certain that no one is watching, it giggles because the wind in its ears was too ticklish to handle.

A lady in a red dress and red heels walks by.

The bunny uses its paws(?) to cover its mouth. "Oh nooo, I cannot be seen laughing!" it thinks to itself.

The lady bends over.

"Why look at that! What a cute bunny!!" and squeals in excitement.

Bunny rolls its eyes and bounces away.

Now..... imagine that times SEVEN!! Muahahahaha!!

Bye Bye, My Baby.

Last year, around this time, I met 2 fabulous people who loved food as much as i do. We nicknamed ourselves after tastes. I think you should understand how much we LOVE food.

Anyway, after many tiring days in college and crazy moments, we came up with the most fantastic plan! (Alexa, i still remember our conversation about it in the noodle shop! Hahaha)

That is how we gave birth to our baby, Food Busters! It's s food club, we go around town as a big group to look for yummy yummy food.

We had such big plans for the club. We even wanted to go to Penang for food! *Sigh*
We wanted T-shirts. That's how much we loved the club.

This was the 2nd outing where only 4 people showed up.
2 of which were the presidents of the club -.-
We even got lost on the way there. Heh.

Anyways.. I just realized that we were in the same classes for only ONE semester. Doesn't it feel longer than that?! Crazyness.

Cool Analogy.

You guys should know how i'm a great believer of doing what you feel like doing. And making the choices you need to make to be happy. Yada. Yada.

But you know what i really hate?

People that abuse their free will in the expense of another person's emotions.

Just so you guys know what i'm talking about.. I came up with an analogy. whee! :)

Here goes..

I really hate it when.. Say.. You're at a party and there's only one piece of banana kaya pizza (you know, the super yummy one that is only available in Domino's Malaysia? *yum yum yum*) left in a box. And you know that there's someone who really wanted to eat it all night. I mean the person has been talking about eating that banana kaya pizza ALL night. And then, all of a sudden, you feel like eating that banana kaya pizza. And you just take it, all the while, knowing that this other person wants to eat that banana kaya pizza real real bad. And you just take it.

What would the other person feel? Coz i love food and my banana kaya pizzas, I'll tell you for a fact that I'll be superly extremely upset. I'm not kidding.

Take that analogy and replace it with item-of-desire. And if you were the one who was losing out, wouldn't you be upset?

But maybe not everyone feels that way. But i really really hate people like the banana-kaya-pizza-stealer. And that's saying a lot because i don't hate people. I just dislike them.

Woot!!

Hello people!!

Guess what?! I set a personal record today!! I ran 5 rounds around the big park behind my house!! whee!! According to my phone.. I ran about 9km!! Muahahahaha!!

Could be better if i was in Malaysia though. I'm out of stamina coz i haven't exercised in so long! Boo!

Maybe i could run 5 rounds today coz it's summer and the weather is super nice. But i tried running in winter and in spring.. and i got out of breath like after 3 rounds or so..

Seeing that I haven't ran in a long long time.. I'm gonna be so so sore in a few hours.. >.< But i'm still happy!! :D

Haha.. Look at me.. Examining my exercise and all.. I'm just THAT bored sometime.. hee!

To make the day even more fruitful and fulfilling.. I cut my toe nails, ate a plum, and i'm gonna do a tag!! muahahahaha! Thanks SaraH!!! :D

VBS

Disclaimer: I'm too lazy to upload pics today. I will upload when i'm less lazy :)

So last week the church had Vacation Bible School (VBS) for kids in the neighborhood. It was a week long but i only got to help out for 2 days coz i only had 2 days off from school that week. It was a crazy week.

Anyway, it was so so much fun getting to play with those kids. They have so much energy. There were like 56 of them, mind you. It was crazy.

On one of the days i was there, i was in charge of arts and crafts. So i had to teach all of them how to make a bookmark. And all of a sudden, I'm the art teacher. Haha. They were so cute about it. About 10 of them came up to me and was like, "Rachel Rachel! Are you the art teacher?" And i didn't want to disappoint them so i was like, "Sure" :)

Hmm.. What else?

On the last day, we had like lots of games and stuff and this little girl, her name was Jenny, asked me to play with her. And she was so cute about it. All the staff members didn't want to let me play coz i was a staff member too but Jenny would be like yelling "Let Rachel playyyyy!!!" She's so cute! And the staff were like giving me dirty looks! Hahaha

And what really touched me was that at the end of the day, Jenny gave me a hug and was like "Rachel, I love you!" I was like... "Awwwwww!!!!" I didn't say that but i thought it. =P And she shared the prize she won with me. She's so adorable.

Another kid that was really cute was Berry. He looks super blur but he's so adorable! And he's really good at drawing too! I have a crush on him. I kid you not.

Ahhhh.. I love kids! :)

New Hairstyle

I got a haircut! whee! :)

And i dyed it too! The bottom is red.. but you can't see it in this pic..

ANd OMG!! Guess what?!

I didn't know must tip like at least 15% to the hair stylist.. So i only gave like 10% and i feel so so soooooo bad! Coz my hairstylist was really really good! :(

Don't know if i should ever go back.. So malu.. >.<

Teddy.

I woke up today from a phone call from Alina super early in the morning.

I felt like I didn't get any sleep the whole night and I almost did not pick up the call at all. Now I wish that I didn't. :(

She told me that Teddy died. He got bit by a giant dog and 5 minutes later, he stopped breathing.
...

I couldn't stop crying even after an hour I put down the phone.

...

I miss Teddy. :'(

I miss how he's always so happy to see me when I come home from anywhere. Even if i come home at 4 in the morning, he would sleepily walk out from wherever he is, to greet me.

I miss how he was so smart and learnt so many tricks so quickly. I even miss how hyper he is all the time.

I miss holding him and snuggling with him. I miss playing with him.

I missed him so much when I came here. Now, I'm never gonna see him ever again. I need to hug him :(
