A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Ahh.. many unfortunate events have struck me pretty life. Therefore, I shall put it in a post :)

OK. First of all, not everything can be posted here coz, you know, public domain, involves other people's feelings and also privacy, etc. etc.

BUT those who know everything that i'm going/ went through and willingly (or rather unwillingly but very much forced to by me) listened and counseled and advised, I love you guys very much and am very grateful that you guys are in my life and have not succumbed to that voice in your head that is begging you to kill me :P After all, love for your daughter, sister, cousin, friend is overrated riiiight? (i realize i might be pushing it.. heh heh)

Event 1.
Came back to NY from Malaysia. Having to say goodbye to family and friends just when i started to settle down and be comfy back home again. Fell very sick the night before my flight. Oh the pain.

Event 2.
Because i was heavily drugged on the plane, i snored worse than a pig with a flu on its death-bed with a crazy itch on its belly that it can't reach. I do not kid.

Event 3.
Mommy, don't kill me! But i got conned by the taxi guy at the airport :P Rugi like $15?

Event 4.
Went apartment hunting with friend. One day, kena pooped on by birds TWICE. Yes. In ONE day. Yes. The SAME day. Good luck you say? I say nooooooooo.

Event 5.
Complications with rent and lease. Lost a lot of money. I shall not go into details, but if you want to know more about it, you can always skype/ msn with me. Oh! I have AIM too! If that's how you roll, we can rock and roll yo! (i DO NOT know why i just said that)

Event 6.
Ok. This one needs a back story for you to fully understand. Well not really. So i have this notebook in which i put all my important papers coz i had to apply for something like an extended visa(?). Anyway, it had like my current visa, a check with a good amount of money on it, passport pics of me(that would be a real catch if anyone stole it. heh), forms and such in it because i did not want to carry a big folder around so i just stuffed everything into me notebook. So i was apartment hunting this one fine day (well, not so fine i would say) when the wind blew as strong as it could and blew my notebook out of my hands! At that point, there was nothing i could do to stop it! I RAN into the middle of the road, risked my life for what i thought was the most important of them all, my visa. Then while i was there, in the middle of crossroads, mind you, it's like the big box in the center of 4 traffic lights, i picked up all the extra papers as well la. Meanwhile, my check and my passport pictures nicely flew to different ends of the block. There was this nice man who helped me chase the check down the block and another nice lady who picked up my passport pictures. I had to run to each one of them, ignoring all rules and traffic lights, to get them. Finally, they all went back into the notebook. Ha! Eh! Don't say that i'm stupid. I can HEAR you! Hmph! Ok. Fin.

There is still Event 7, 8, 9. But i'm too lazy to type out full accounts of it. But yeah, do let me know if you want to lend an ear coz i'm always up for it (in conversation, so skype good. msn chat no good.)

Sometimes I wish I had a voice in my head narrating my life. Hee!
I want toys and teddy bears! Hmph! I'm just frustrated coz i don't have enough. Don't mind me. (I don't even know why I'm frowning as I type this. Some inner anger is being unleashed. Ha!)
I want ADP friends who are finally in the States to come visit! Haha *hint hint* You KNOW who you are.
Speaking of ADP, I really miss Alexa, Sara & Sarah. Speaking of Sara, I miss Daryll too! Lol.
I never ever used to say "Lol" but i'm starting to because i'm just that easily influenced.
I cannot remember how it was being friends with Lionel Koh but I miss it. Haha.
Random names appearing reminds me of Lee Ken Chung, who, strangely, still reads my blog. Thanks homie! :P
Lee Ken Chung reminds me of Joash Chan who recently got married to May Wong (Mrs Chan now ;)). Congratulations! :)
I can't remember the last time i ate a papaya. Or a honey dew for that matter.
Fruits remind me of Mandarin oranges.

One oF Those Days...

You know, it's kinda late. And when it's late, I start thinking more crazy than usual. AND i tend to spell my words wrongly, something that i don't intend to do now but we'll see.

Anyway, i was thinking about how funny God is. Why is it that you never get the things you want but when it comes to things that you don't want, you get an abundance of it?

But i guess i should always keep in mind that God is preparing an opportunity for me and me for the opportunity :) I heard this line in church and it keeps me going even when i don't want to.

On a happy note, I'm planning a much needed vacation to jersey! I hope it works out! The planning has already come across some road bumps but i think that if it's carefully planned out and if there is a car in jersey ready for our use, it will be soooo awesome! I know i just came back FROM vacation.. But I've had more stress these 3 weeks than I've had for a long long time. So i deserve it :P hmph!

Why jersey you ask? Coz it's cheap, close by, and NOT New York :) And i've been hearing too many good things about it and i have to see if it lives up to said standards. Heh heh.

So again, i hope it works out! *cross fingers and close eyes tight tight*

Tonight was RockBand night again :) Played this one song so many times that my arms and fingers started to hurt. I was playing the guitar and we were on World Tour so we had to complete that level. I sang some of the songs and Stan was like, "I think i have to ask you to leave." And Janet was like, "Rachel, you're unreal." But, to be honest, i thought i rocked! Like a rockstarrrrrr :) yeah yeahhh!! *shakes head in crazy ecstasy* :P

I want my Goo Joon Pyo. I want him to protect me :) He's so cool! I Love how mean he is but he still has a soft side to him.

I want my Yoon Ji Hoo. I want to dance with him :) He's so cute! I love how he doesn't say much but is very sensitive on the inside.

If only we could combine these 2 and make an alpha male for rachel! Muahahahaha!

I have been super stressed since i got back to NY coz i'm back to my world of responsibilities. And me no likey. My vacation didn't feel long enough. Didn't get to spend time with everyone i wanted to. But those that DID spend time with me, I'm really really thankful for you guys and i LOVE you guys so so much. AND you make me smile like an idiot! :) :) :)

It was fun!

Anyway, today was not a very good day. I'm still suffering from jetlag! I didn't sleep for almost 27 hours! Super tired.

But when i stepped out of the door today, it was SNOWING! It totally made the cold bearable :)


After apartment searching, the whole entire day. Going here and there, in the cold. From smelly apartments to neighborhoods where i can get killed in. I would say, it wasn't a successful mission. But the search must go on! :P

I came home, searched online for more apartments, watched a korean drama, and stumbled on the best thing that's happened in the whole entire week! My baby Junsu, playing the piano and singing an old favorite of mine, My Everything :) :) :)

HOT! HoT! HOT!

It's Getting Late.

Hey World!

This is another nothing-t0-do post.

My blog is starting to get very boring with less and less pictures coz my computer is running out of space and i'm getting lazier and lazier.

I have to wake up at 5am tomorrow. Totally not excited about it.

Oh well, after tomorrow, I can sleep for as 24 hours straight. So whatevs. Hehe! :P

I've been going through a lot lately. But surprisingly, I am still at peace, happy, and loving life! :)

Only at random moments of the day, I will burst into crazy anxiety. But i can just feel God's hands over my heart, calming me down. As if to say, "I got your back!". I know that He does. And that makes me super happy and peaceful.

I'm not going to lie. It's has been an extremely crazy year. One that I am very grateful for though.

I love adventures and being free! That's all I have been doing all year. With a few stumbles, bruises and war scars, I shall be invading 2009 as a whole new person! Just a little wiser but still as happy and excited about life as ever! :) :) :)

Maybe my troubles are a blessing in disguise after all.. Hmm..

I'm glad that I'm doing film :) There's nothing else in the world I can imagine myself doing. Yay!

My Dreams of Becoming A Hobo, Let's Strike That.

As many of you know, i've always wanted to become a hobo in NYC. I kid you not. And you know it! :P

Weeeell, I take it back! And let's pray that it never happens to ANYONE!

I was forced to spend a night in the city with no where to go when it was negative 2 degrees!

Let me fill you in with details..

Ok. It started off with me editing at school, knowing that my call time the next day was at 6.45am.. at Grand Central Station because i had to catch a train upstate.

I wanted to leave at 10pm! I promise. But editing got to addicting! I was in the groove~ Hehehe

Soooo.. edit edit edit.. and before i knew it.. it's 2.30AM!!!!

The things that went through my mind:

• "WHAT??!"
• "I feel like curtsying."
  
• "Should i go home??" (Mind you, I live 1 hour away from school but with public transportation at that hour, I would have ended up reaching home in 2 hours AND on top of that, I would have to wait for the bus for about an hour in waaay too little clothes for negative 2 degrees windy weather.)
• "I have too little footage."
  
• "Should i just sleep in the school till 6am?"
• "Need sleep."
• "My film does not make ANY sense! Gahh!"
  
• "Need food."
• "Mom sent me an email on how to lose fats. I should be worried."
• "Monkeys. Bananas. Cupcakes."
• "Let's do a funny dance!"

So ANYWAY.. My friend was in the edit lab as well and we decided to get food. Went outside. Wind blew. Forget it. I'm not going anywhere tonight.

Friend said, "It's too dangerous to not go home now. I'll stay with you till you go to Grand Central!"

Nice friend. Yay! :) :) :)

So we slept on the couch in the couch in the school. The couch was NOT soft.

BUT.. at 5am.. Mike from the edit lab woke us up and was like.. "What are you guys still doing here?! I have to lock up. You have to go."

Something along those lines. I was too sleepy to coomprehend.

So okay.. We walked out into the blistering cold and got to the subway station and friend and i got on the train to go to Grand Central. 1 hr and 45 mins to call time. Great.

So when we got to Grand Central, we decided to sleep on the floor. So we did.

At 5.35am.. a cop woke us up and..

Cop: You guys catching a train?
Us: Yes
Cop: What time?
Us: 7.18am

Then cop walks away. We go back to sleep.

At 5.45 am.. same cop wakes us up..

Cop: People are coming in. You can't sleep here. Get up!

So we woke up. And friend said, "Rachel. I have to go home."

Not wanting to destroy our friendship, I walked friend to train station and said bye and goodnight and thank you and fluffy dreams and all that jazz.

Then, I went back to the center of Grand Central and went back to sleep. Cop walks by a few times, look at the hobo-rific me, shakes head and walks away.

Summary of things that happened next:

• Got a phone call from asha saying that she was gonna be late. Got frustrated. Snap snap. "Hurry please!" Was a little rude. SORRY ASHA!! :(
• Got wandering crew members together.
• Mune says something ridiculous. YELL something no one would ever comprehend. People stopped and stared. VERY EXTREMELY SORRY MUNE!! :( :(
• Tim made joke. I was not amused. Sorry Tim.

And all that happened waay before 7.30am! Wheee!!

Also wanna say that i didn't sleep the night before either. It was about 60 hours of being awake before i went to sleep. Not pleasant. Not pleasant at all.

A Mystery.

I was looking through some pictures I took and I started to marvel at God's greatness.

I love how He is so mysterious in that way. Always only revealing bits and pieces of Himself. And when you least expect Him to, He basks us in His glory. In those moments, we just have to stop for a moment and admire His greatness and wonder. I believe that that makes Him smile as much as it makes us smile.

This deserves a post on my blog.

I lost my pink ring today. It's the cutest thing i've ever owned.

I was just looking at it and admiring it while waiting for the bus today. And my hands were freezing cold so i took off the ring and put it in my pocket so that i could put on my gloves.

I think it didn't go into my pocket and just fell on the floor. Boo!

It's no where to be found now. I must have dropped it.

But i'm happy as a panda that just got a new bamboo stick because a monkey was playing with it but lost it by getting distracted by a mini cutie sized piggy that was lost because his good looking owner was singing a beautiful song to a beautiful girl and totally forgot about him but just for a milisecond! whee!

Rachel Rhymes With Facial!

This is a "nothing-to-do" post.

I'm super tired coz i'm sick. Boo! And.. Fun Fact.. I have to choose between having my whole body ache like mad or cough like a mad monkey. I chose to let my whole body ache. Why? Coz i can't mix the drugs. Gahh!! Was gagging all night from coughing. Stupid.

Still have to go to school to do Producing work for my friend. Oh the joys of filmmaking. Ha!

OK. So i was doing this Tag, but my throat hurts so so bad and my nose is runny and i feel like i'm going to die.

It's coz i was sleeping without a blanket last night coz i couldn't find one in the pig sty of a room we are sleeping in.

I'm blogging while i'm in Bermuda. Why?

1. I need to push that ugly picture of me down so it wouldn't scare people away when they visit my blog.
2. Everyone is really tired and tomorrow is the first day of Asha's shoot. So we're staying at home and resting today.
3. I need to keep my blog updated? Hehe

OK. Fun Facts about Bermuda:

1. They have the same national flower as Malaysia! It's the Hibiscus. Just in case you didn't know. Hehe.. And they have it in so many different colours too! Beautiful.
2. At this time of the year, it's kinda chilly in Bermuda. Feels like Genting weather.
3. Everything is suuuuuper expensive coz it has to be imported into the country.
4. The ocean water is in so many different shades of blue. It's so so pretty.
5. Random strangers will say "hi" to you on the streets and it's courteous to say "hi" back.
6. ALL the houses are in pastel colors! I love it.

There are actually a lot more but i can't think of anything else right now.

I kicked a giant rock in the ocean today and it started bleeding. The wound looks really cool! Yeeeeah!! TeeHee!

Sometimes i wonder what banana pumpkin pie would taste like.
